I'm in the midst of the lovely 2 week waiting period to know if I am prego!
To go back a bit the doctor gave me 100mg of Clomid on days 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of my menstrual cycle. This is my first round of clomid and IUI. Maybe she figures since I'm 39 almost 40 she would be a bit aggressive.
My side effects were not too bad with the Clomid. I'm so glad my doctor suggested I take it at night. I would wake up a tiny bit at night to feel my head tightened and got really hot easily. Other than than that felt good during the day with great energy.
It looks like I fall under the unexplained category. All of my tests came back good, no blocked tubes and a very good ovarian reserve. I was so glad to hear that. There were so many things that could have been wrong like endometriosis or scarring. Also, no cysts on the ovaries!
I took an ultra sound about a week later after the Clomid to see the follicle growth. Looked like I had two mature follicles on the right side and none on the left. That same day after the ultra sound I took the ovidrel shot or injection to start the ovulation. Wow! I could feel my right side pulling and tugging that night definitely. I asked my doctor about it and she said that is a good sign of ovulation.
The next day I had the IUI and then another IUI the following day. So, two IUI's back to back. They have me on Endometrin now as we wait for the two weeks. Definitely have been feeling some tugging and pulling in the uterus and feel a bit queasy. I'm not really sure if it is from the medicine or if they are prego signs. I will keep you posted!
